제목 Microwave assisted esterification of waste cooking oil for biodiesel production
초록 In this study, the property of biodiesel synthesized using waste cooking oil through trans-esterification process was evaluated. The biodiesel synthesized from waste cooking oil can reduce the cost of raw material and solve the problem of disposing of waste oil. The experiment was carried out using microwave heating system. The biodiesel was synthesized using methanol and KOH catalyst, and its FAME(Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) content and heating value were evaluated in certain range of acid value of waste oil. The acid value can be obtained by titration of mixture of 2-propanol and toluene with KOH solution. The variables were set as temperature(45~65℃), amount of catalyst(0~1wt%), power(300~1000W), molar ratio of alcohol/oil(2~10).
