제목 Characterization of Small Intestine Submucosa Sponge for Wound Healing
초록 Porcine small intestine submucosa (SIS) as a new material mainly composed of collagen and glycosaminoglycan has been widely used as organ reconstructions without immuno-rejection responses. Chemically crosslinked SIS sponge was prepared and characterized as bio-interactive wound dressings and tissue engineered scaffolds. SIS powders were dissolved in 3% acetic acid aqueous solution for 48 hrs followed by pouring into mold and then fabricated by freeze-drying method. SIS sponge was preparaed by crosslinked with 1-ethyl-(3-3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) solution (deionized water : ethanol = 5 : 95) with 50 and 100 mM concentration for 24 hrs and lyophilized. The SIS sponges were evaluation characterized of water uptake ability on deionized water and cell line solutions (Hank's, PBS, HEPES and Trisl). In conclusion, it seems that SIS plays an important role for wound healing for biomedical applications.
