Compact, disposable biosensors have made a great contribution in the detecting diseases in convenience. When it comes to biological detection under urgent conditions, which involves using a field sample that may not be purified by a lengthy process in a lab, the detection faces the severe challenge of false signal comes from non-specific interactions. Previously, we achieved highly effective anti-biofouling polymer coating that was applied on surface plasma resonance chip, and it exhibited great prevention of non-specific biomolecular adsorption onto the chip surface by the nanoporous and gold nanoparticle–hybridized structure of the coating. Here we applied this functionalized coating onto super paramagnetic nanoparticles and consequently functionalized with antibodies and fluorescent labels. The results for the antigen detection show a great sensitivity with high stability in colloids. We will also demonstrate some other applications of this system. |
