Fabrication and characterization of polymer-applied carbon electrode for capacitive deionization |
초록 |
Membrane capacitive deionization (MCDI) is an emerging desalination technology based on electrochemical principles that ions are adsorbed onto the electrode surface where potential is applied. There are some problems caused by ion-exchange membrane such as resistance and cost. Thus, researches to substitute the membrane to polymer have been conducted. In this research, ion-exchange polymers were applied to carbon electrode by two methods, coating and mixing. The features of two kinds of electrode were examined in terms of electrochemical properties and desalination performance and compared each other. |
