Synthesis of Alkynyl-Terminated Hyperbranched Polyglycidol for Click Chemistry |

A series of alkynyl-terminated hyperbranched polymers were polymerized by anionic ring-opening multibranching polymerization of glycidol at first. The following hydroxyl group of obtained polyglycidols was modified to chloro group and then also modified to azide group continuously. Ultimately alkynyl-terminated hyperbranched polyglycidols were synthesized by click chemistry converting azide to various alkynyl group. The property of obtained polymers can be fine-controlled by molar ratio of each reagents and kinds of alkynyl groups. The molecular weight of such polymer was measured by Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) and the structure was characterized by Nuclear Magnetic Resonace Spectroscopy (NMR) and Infrared Spectroscopy (IR). |
