New low band gap copolymer including quinoxaline, thieno[3,2-b]thiophene and thiophene was synthesized as a photovoltaic donor materials. A band gap(Egop = 1.73eV, Egec = 1.5eV) of this polymer was investigated through UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. A bulk heterojunction structure of glass/ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer-PCBM(1:3)/LiF/Aluminium, were fabricated for investigating photovoltaic properties. [70]PCBM was used as an acceptor materials due to its increased absorption in the visible region in comparison with [60]PCBM. In this polymer, Incident photon conversion efficiency (IPCE) was as high as 60% in the range 400-550nm. Moreover, maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) was up to 2.27% under AM1.5G conditions. It had relatively high VOC (0.71V) and JSC (8.80mA/cm2). However, a low value of FF was obtained as 0.37. |
