Preparation of Conducting Hybrid Materials from Polyaniline and Modified TiO2 Particles |

Organic/inorganic conducting hybrid materials formed from polyaniline (PANI) and nano-TiO2 were successfully prepared by surface modification of TiO2. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles with an average diameter about 20-40 nm were treated with Chem-Solv solution to generate negative charges on the surface. PANI/TiO2 hybrid was prepared by oxidating aniline hydrochloride with ammonium persulfate in the presence of surface modified TiO2. The resulting hybrid was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) , UV-Vis spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The conductivity of PANI/TiO2 hybrid was also investigated. |
