제목 Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(N-vinyl imidazole) -b- poly(maleic acid) viaRAFT radical polymerization
초록 We have successfully synthesized PEO-based tri-block copolymer via transformation reaction from anionic to RAFT radical. We synthesized ω-brominated poly(ethylene oxide) by chain-end functionalization after living anionic ring opening polymerization of ethylene oxide, followed by converting it to the PEO-based RAFT agent. Using the PEO-based RAFT agent and AIBN as the initiating system, RAFT radical polymerization of N-vinyl imidazole and N-phenylmaleimide via sequential monomer addition technique for preparation of block copolymer in DMF at 110 ℃ for 72 h under argon produced the corresponding triblock copolymer. The resulting triblock copolymer was deimidated by using hydrazine monohydrate with NaOH in DMSO at 110 ℃ for 24 h, followed by precipitating in diethyl ether. All the products were dried in vaccum oven at room temperature for at least 48 h and then characterized by 1H-NMR and size exclusion chromatographic analysis.
