제목 Synthesis of Poly(ethylene oxide -b- maleic acid) and its modification using folate.
초록 Poly(ethylene oxide) based block copolymers have received a great attention in biological field due to its bio-compatibility and water solubility. The N-phenyl maleimide group has been well known to be readily deimidated for a long time. In this respect, we have successfully synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(N-phenyl maleimide) copolymer via anionic living polymerization. Anionic ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide using n-butyl lithium and potassium t-butoxide as initiator was at first performed in the mixture of THF/benzene/ DMSO, followed by polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide. The resulting THF-soluble product was deimidated in DMSO at 120° for 24 hour using hydrazine monohydrate leading to the production of PEO-b-PMAc. The resulting product was reacted with folic acid in presence of DCC/NHS in DMF. In this presentation we will show the preliminary results.
