Fabrication of various ligand conjugated MoS2 chemiresistor for volatile organic compound detection |

Selective detection of gas molecules is highly important to develop high performance VOC (volatile organic compound) sensor for lung cancer diagnosis by breath analysis technique. Until now, various types of gas sensor have been developed to detect various VOCs from human breath, but their performance and selectivity is insufficient to recognize the each VOC molecules. Here, we developed a VOC sensor which has high-selective senstivity depends on the VOC molecules, by fabricating MoS2 chemiresistor and conjugating various thiolated ligand for the enhancement of gas sensing performances. We tried various ligand conjugation for selective gas sensing performance and each ligands exhibit distinctly different sensing reponses toward VOCs, because of their electrical hindrance of sensing channel and interaction of gas molecules. This will be a promising apporach to constructing a versatile sensor array, for selective interaction with targeted gas molecules. |
