Magnetic particles with fluorescent probe are receiving the most attention due to their ability to combine two widespread techniques, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and confocal or dark-field microscopy, which are complementary in terms of three-dimensional imaging capability and spatial resolution, respectively. Organic dyes are employed most commonly due to their commercial availability and high quantum yield. Minimization of inter-nanoparticle luminescence quenching is important. Decreased luminescence of organic dyes is originated with the iron oxide nanoparticles. However, we focused on this quenching system, so used magnetic nanoparticles with conjugated polymer dots for enzyme sensing. When the enzyme was added in MNPs@CPdot hybrid, CPdots was disaggregated with MNPs due to surface charge attraction. As the result, fluorescence of CPdots was recovered, MPs was removed with magnetic field. |
