Novel discrimination system for lung cancer cell with virus based color structure |

Color sensor like pregnancy test kit or litmus paper for pH test, which relies on color change is excellently concise analysing system. Recently there were developed the novel colorimetric sensor which is functionalized M13 phage based colored structure, and it could detect TNT as ppb levels with the color change. Each species of cells produces a unique composition of volatile gas imperceptibly. Cancer cells can release abnormal composition of gas compared by normal cells. To discriminate the minute gas as ppb levels precisely and concisely, it could be applied for a cell discriminating sensor. Here, inspired by the colorimetric sensor system, we developed the novel cancer recognition sensor using virus based color matrix. Our results show that functionalized phage based color structure could rapidly distinguish the unique component of by-products between cancer cell and normal cell. Furthermore, this work could suggest a cancer diagnosis sensor by human breathe. |
