Polyamide(PA) based composite materials have been widely explored in various industries such as automobiles, electronics and construction due to their high chemical resistance, mechanical properties, thermal stability, economic properties and light weight. However, the high viscosity of polyamides has limited their processing efficiency in molding. Here, we synthesize hyperbranched additives with amide bonds between aromatic rings and alkyl chains. The amides in the additives allow outstanding miscibility with polyamides, resulting in high fluidity of the PA. To demonstrate the fluidity enhancement of the PA by adding the additives, the length increase in injection molded spiral specimens and the viscosity decrease measured by a rotational rheometer, were shown. |
