제목 Directional Heat Transfer Behavior of Uniaxially Oriented Liquid Crystal Polymer
초록 Uniaxially oriented liquid crystal polymer (LCP) was fabricated by thiol-ene click reaction of reactive discotic liquid crystals under magnetic field. The LCP exhibits high thermal conductivity compared to the other polymeric materials due to the rigid core structure of mesogenic moieties. The heat flow in the oriented LCP is facilitated in the in-plane direction of discotic mesogenic core and the uniaxially oriented LCP shows heat transfer anisotropy. While the un-oriented LCP shows thermal conductivity up to 1.09 W/mK, the uniaxially oriented LCP exhibits 3.00 W/mK along to the magnetic field orientation direction.
