Silicon/Metal composite materials have attracted considerable attentions in lithium-ion battery field because they have unique electrochemical properties. In this work, silicon/CuO composite microparticles were synthesized by coating CuO on the surface modified silicon nanoclusters through the electroless plating method. The polyvinylamine layers introduced the surface of silicon nanoclusters could provide the active site for growth of CuO. In addition, the morphological changes of composite particles and electrochemical properties of before and after heat treatments were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and cyclic voltammetry, respectively. |
