Programmed Dye Release from Core-Sheath Nanofibers consisting of Porous PCL shell and an Array of Hydrogel Particles in the core |

Electrospinning system is a useful way to fabricate nanofibers in a continuous process. The dimension of the nanofibers can be controlled from tens of nanometers to a few micrometers. The nanofibers are produce by electrical charge force between niddle and collector. We fabricated core-sheath nanofibers consisting of nanoporous PCL shell and hydrogel core by using electrospinning method. We have utilized simple method of electrospinning for manufacturing nanofibers and the thermo sensitive property of PNIPAm for drug delivery, release system. We formed a solution by mixing PCL, PEO and PNIPAm in a regular proportion and fabricated core-shell structured nanofibers. Core-shell structured nanofibers have PNIPAm hydrogel colloids distributed in its core and polymer on its shell. The morphology and dimension of nanofibers can be controlled by varying the concentration of the polymer solution ratio. We observed that dye of nanofibers released during experimental period. |
