Effect of Al2O3 and AlOOH on Thermal Properties of Basalt-reinforced Epoxy Composites |

In this work, we studied influence of nanofillers on thermal properties of basalt-reinforced epoxy composites. Alumina (Al2O3) and boehmite (AlOOH) were used as nanofillers. Surface properties of nanofillers were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis. The thermal properties of the composites were measured by thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The cross-section morphologies of basalt fibers-reinforced epoxy composites were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). |
