제목 Controlling reaction direction by tailor-made C-C bond formation from C1 building blocks
초록 As an extension of the research of “capsule catalyst” invented by the author, direct synthesis of para-xylene from syngas or CO2-containing syngas is successfully accomplished by a new-type capsule catalyst system where single crystalline capsule catalyst is included. Syngas, methanol, dimethyl ether, olefins, benzene, mixed aromatics are synthesized in sequence and finally para-xylene is reached by the “confined catalysis effect”.  On the other hand, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis happening inside the tailor-made capsule catalyst with new behaviors will also be reported.  Varied hydrocarbons such as gasoline, diesel, etc. can be synthesized selectively by precisely tuning the nano-structure of the catalysts.
