Electrochemical Characterization of Pd-MOx/C Catalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction in Direct Methanol Fuel Cell(DMFC) |
초록 |
The catalytic activity of Pd in DMFC is very comparable to that of Pt in acid solution containing methanol. To improve the catalytic activity of Pd, we impregnated nano-sized metal oxide particle with Pd on carbon. Thus, we selected tungsten oxide(WO3), tin oxide(SnO2) and titanium oxide(TiO2) because they are electrochemically stable in acid solution. The Pd-MOx/C catalysts were synthesized for oxygen reduction reaction. The catalysts were characterized for the adsorption of hydrogen and oxygen, and electrochemically active surface area by CV. These were also analyzed by TEM, XRD, EDX etc. |
