Antibacterial N-halamine materials for paint |
| 초록 |
We have prepared biocidal materials for paint having a hydantoin using the substitution of alkyl moiety with 1-bromohexane followed by chlorination. The chlorinated films showed excellent antibacterial activities against gram-negative bacteria, Escherichia coli and maintained its biocidal property after long term storage. When the biocidal polymer films were stored in the water for 1 month, more than 4.0 logs reduction of E. coli. was observed. |
