In this work, we report the synthesis and luminescent characteristics of new polyfluorene derivatives, which have conjugated 1,3,4-oxadiazole in the main and side chains. The new derivatives were synthesized by the Suzuki and Yamamoto coupling reactions. The polymers showed good solubility in common organic solvents and excellent film forming properties. The polymers exhibited high EL efficiency. This is due to the oxadiazole moieties having good electron transporting/hole blocking properties. |
