제목 Cure Monitoring and Interfacial Evaluation of Carbon Fiber/Epoxy-Amine Terminated (AT) PEI Composite using Microdroplets and Electro-Micromechanical Test
초록 Interfacial properties, microfailure modes and cure monitoring of single carbon fiber/amine terminated (AT) PEI toughened epoxy matrix composite were investigated using micromechanical test and the measurement of electrical resistance. AT PEI was synthesized as inducing homogeneous phase separation and improved the fracture toughness in epoxy matrix. The fracture toughness and IFSS with AT PEI content were measured by three-point short beam and microdroplet tests. Interfacial properties were correlated with matrix toughness and microfailure mode. As AT PEI content increased, the fracture toughness and IFSS increased gradually. After curing, electrical resistance of bare carbon fiber without matrix was not changed comparison of before curing, whereas that of carbon fiber within matrix was changed by residual stress. Electrical resistance of epoxy-AT PEI modified matrix toughness was measured with AT PEI content, and then the electrical resistance difference was correlated with residual stress combined mechanical properties such as modulus and fracture toughness, etc. Acknowledgment: This work was financially supported by Agency for Defense Development (ADD) through Research Center for Aircraft Parts Technology (ReCAPT), GNU.
