제목 Thermodynamic and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy / Polyamide / CSR (Core Shell Rubber) / Anhydride blends
초록 In the present work, epoxy/polyamide/CSR (core shell rubber)/Anhydride blends were chosen to examine the effects of soluble polyamide and core shell rubber on the impact resistance of the blends at low temperature, -40℃. By adding 2E4MZ-CNS (1-cyanoethyl-2-4-metylimidazole) as a catalyst, polyamide domains were uniformly covered with epoxy/polyamide IPN (inter-penentrating network) thin layer leading to the improvement of adhesion strength at low temperature. Cure process was precisely controlled to form the IPN thin boundry layer around the polyamide domains. CSR has significantly improved the impact strength especially at low temperature, -40℃. Eventually, the coexistance of two distingushed phases, IPN-surrounded polyamide and CSR, enhanced the peel and impact strength at low temperature. Present blends can be applied to structural adhesives which possess high impact resistance at extreamly low temperatures.
