제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of High-Temperature Organophilic Layered Silicates(OLS) Modified with Oligo sulfone |
초록 | The representative nanosized fillers for polymeric nanocomposites are the organophilic layered silicates(OLS)1, but commercially available OLS modified with alkyl chains begins to thermally degrade at the temperature below 250℃. The high temperature engineering plastics such as polysulfone, however, are usually processed at the temperatures above 300℃, implying that the commercially available OLS’s are not suitable for the preparation of polyimide nanocomposites2 because thermally fragile modifiers in the silicates are degraded even below processing temperature. In this work, we prepared OLS based on oligomeric sulfone, and investigated thermal characteristics of different type of OLS. Layered Silicate were modified through ion exchange reaction after the synthesis of aminated oligo sulfone. The novel high temperature OLS were characterized by AAS(Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy), FT-IR, WAXD, and TEM. We also prepared polysulfone nanocomposites, and studied the effects of the OLS on the thermal properties of the polyimide nanocomposites. Figure 1.
