제목 Stereoregular poly(acrylonitrile-co-itaconic acid) for improved thermal oxidative stabilization behavior and enhanced carbon properties
초록 Stereoregular isotactic polyacrylonitrile (i-PAN) and poly(acrylonitrile-co-itaconic acid) (i-PAI) were prepared through free radical polymerization by inducing the complex formation of monomers with Lewis acid. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) was employed for the quantitative tracking of the structural evolution of PAN, i-PAN, and i-PAI with different isotactic contents during their thermal oxidative stabilization (TOS). Cyclization, oxidation, and tautomerization during the TOS process were characterized and quantified. DSC study reveals that higher cyclization reaction and more oxygen uptake in case of stereoregular isotactic PAN (co)polymers. Highly efficient stabilization leads to creation of highly ordered carbon basal planes during carbonization. Carbon materials from stereoregular isotactic PAN (co-)polymer precursors exhibits enhanced electronic conductivity, demonstrated the potential application in the area of carbon electronics.
