The objective of this work was to develop poly(methyl methacrylate-co-butyl acrylate) emulsion exhibit water-oil repellency and anchoring on cellulose via structured core-shell nanoparticle. In the first stage, among the amount of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate monomer, we synthesized poly(MMA-co-BA) copolymer nanoparticle as a core part. At this time, ammonium persulfate(APS) solution added to mixture for 2 hours. In the second stage, among the amount of perfluoro monomer (1H,1H,2H,2H-Tridecafluoro-n-octyl acrylate) and silane derivative monomer (3-acryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane), we finally synthesized poly(MMA-co-BA)/Perfluoro-acrylate-silane nanocapsules. The prepared nanocapsules were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), contact angle (CA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). |
