제목 In vivo evaluations of  RGD-conjugated MPEG-PCL on bone regeneration using rabbit calvarial model
초록 In this study, we aimed to develop an injectable RGD-immobilized MPEG-PCL (MPEG-PCL-RGD) hydrogels that are capable of controlling osteogenesis and regeneration. In animal studies, rabbits were created on four calvarial defects in each animals. Bone formation was estimated by using three kinds of implants in MPEG-PCL alone, MEPG-PCL-0.8mM RGD/MSC, and MPEG-PCL-2.4mM RGD/MSC. Bone regeneration was evaluated using X-ray, micro CT and histology for up to six weeks. In MSC seeded MPEG-PCL-RGD treated group, the new bone formed from the margin of the defect. In comparison, MSC seeded MPEG-PCL control group showed bone formation from the periphery of the defect with low density. These data suggests that MPEG-PCL-RGD presents stability of MSCs and enhanced bone regeneration in rabbit calvarial defects.
