제목 Steam reforming of dimethyl ether using a palladium/nickel composite membrane reactor
초록 Dimethyl ether (DME) steam reforming was performed using a commercial Süd-Chemie Cu/Zn/Al2O3 catalyst in a palladium/nickel (Pd/Ni) composite membrane reactor. The Pd/Ni composite membrane which is thin and pinhole-free was deposited on a modified mesoporous stainless steel support and fabricated by vacuum electrodeposition. The Pd/Ni composite membrane showed high hydrogen permselectivity that the hydrogen gas produced in the reactor by the steam reforming reaction permeated through the membrane. It was found that the higher conversion of DME and composition of hydrogen were obtained in the membrane reactor than in a fixed-bed continuous flow reactor. In addition, steam reforming of DME was studied at various reaction conditions such as temperature, loading weight of the catalyst, space velocity of feed gas, and steam/DME molar ratio.
