Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been used as attractive organic-inorganic hybrid materials that provide high porosity, crystallinity, and facile tunability of the structural composition. Owing to these properties, MOFs have been applied to a wide range of applications, such as gas sorption, separation, catalysis, sensors, and medicinal applications. Herein, we report the synthesis of micro-sized copper(II)-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate (Cu-BTC). The particles were then processed by ball-milling to afford nano-sized Cu-BTC. In the next step, the copper-based nanocomposites are also prepared. We suppose that the obtained products can improve the gas sorption properties, therefore can be applied as an efficient material for gas storage and separation. |
