제목 pH influence on the irreversible swelling/deswelling behavior of monodisperse hydrophilic poly(vinylamine) (PVAm)
초록 Cross-linked polymeric hydrogel containing carboxylic or amine group was changed in equilibrium swelling properties by external environmental conditions: pH, ionic strength. In this study, irreversible swelling behavior, poly(vinylamine)(PVAm) hydrogel possessing the amine group, was investigated as a function of cycling pH. At first, monodisperse poly(vinylamine)(PVAm) micro particles were prepared by dispersion polymerization and then hydrolysis of poly(vinylformamide) was carried out for amine moiety. Particle size was measured by optical microscope (OM) to investigate the swelling behavior in the pH range 2-13.
