Catalytic performance of Mn/Na2WO4/Al(Mg)O over oxidative coupling of methane has investigated in pulse mode and continuous flow mode using pack bed micro reactor system. In pulse mode, the catalytic activity was measured as a function of reaction temperature, the number of injection, the mixing ratio of methane and air and the flow rate. Use of the Al(Mg)O support in the oxidative coupling of methane has widen the window for the optimum catalytic performance, at 923-1123 K compared to that of the case of SiO2 support, at 1023-1123 K. Changing the reaction mode to the continuous flow reaction system also gave similar results. Thus, the use of Al(Mg)O could improve the catalytic performance of Mn/Na2WO4, which was probably due to the high dispersion of Mn/Na2WO4 compared to that on the SiO2. The detailed result of the catalytic reaction will be presented. |
