Microporous carbons (MCs) containing fluorine were prepared by the carbonization of the polyvinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene without chemical activation. The electrochemical performance of fluorine-doped microporous carbons (F-MCs) was investigated as a function of carbonization temperature. It was found that, without additional activation, the F-MCs had a high specific surface area. In addition, the content of fluorine groups could be controlled by carbonization temperature. Form charge/discharge results, F-MC showed high electrochemical performance, indicating that the microporous features of F-MC lead to feasible electron transfer during charge/discharge duration and the presence of fluorine groups on the F-MC electrode could provide a pseudocapacitive reaction. |
