Solid/Liquid Interfacial Synthesis of High Conductivity Polyaniline |

We synthesized highly conductive polyaniline by solid/liquid interfacial method. Aniline was polymerized in organic solvents in the presence of organic acids and solid oxidants. The yield of polymer exceeded 90% by optimizing aniline to oxidant ratio. The polyaniline doped with camphorsulfonic acid exhibited high conductivity consistently over 600 S/cm. Our method produced high-quality polyaniline samples with high crystallinity and narrow molecular weight distribution. |
