제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Poly styrene/Mulltiwalled Carbon nano tubes nanocomposite and its styrene grafted film.
초록 Polystyrene/Multuwalled carbon nano tubes (MWCNTs) were prepared by functionalized MWCNTs using Aminostyrene under the condition of atom transfer radical polymerization. The functionalization of multiwalled carbon nanotubes is an efficient way to promote solubility of MWCNTs and conductivity of film of polymer grafted with functionalized MWCNTs. Effective side wall functionalization of multiwalled carbon nano tubes (MWCNTs) with polystyrene was carried out through radical polymerization after acid treatment of MWCNTs. In this paper, the solubility improvement is characterized with photos of MWCNTs in solution in each steps and photos of films made of MWCNTs in every steps of reactions. Also, PS/MWCNTs are characterized with SEM, XPS and TGA. The functionalized MWCNTs nanocomposite showed significant improvement in dispersibility in solution and film. Also, the film of polystyrene grafted with PS/MWCNTs showed improvement in conductivity.
