Suzuki-Cross Coupling in Aqueous Phase Using Amphiphilic Polymer-Supported Palldium Catalyst |

N-Heterocyclic carbene Palladium complexes are very useful for a wide variety of organic reactions due to their air-moisture stability, resistance to contamination of ligands residue and strong binding affinity with transition metals. But separation of homogeneous catalysts is difficult and recycling the catalysts is impossible. Herein, Immobilized catalysts are expected to solve these problems. Amphiphilic polymer-supported palladium catalyst is prepared by loading N-Heterocyclic carbene palladium complex on an amphiphilic resin. We have proved that it is very efficient catalyst for the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction in an aqueous phase. Recovery of the catalyst is possible by simple filtration and reusability for a number of cycles with consistent activity is also very remarkable. |
