We demonstrated a simple, rapid, selective and sensitive biosensor for pyrophosphate detection using metal nanoclusters. First, we synthesized new metal nanoclusters using the protein-directed synthesis method which is simple, low price and environmental. The synthesized metal nanoclusters based on this method were characterized with strong fluorescence at 434 nm under 365 nm UV light. For pyrophosphate detection, we optimized the synthesis condition of metal nanoclusters and reaction concentration. As the result, the fluorescence of the metal nanoclusters increased with increasing pyrophosphate concentration. Furthermore, these properties are applicable to PCR assay. |
