In this study, ultraviolet (UV) curable acrylic monomers and multi functional oligomers(UV-A solution) and various kinds of surfactants(SF-B solution) for antifogging coating were applied to UV-curable coating systems. Properties of antifogging coating solution were examined with an infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and viscometer. Preliminarily surfactant solutions was mixed with acrylic hard coating solution containing photo initiator and applied on the surface of PET film. The optimization to introduce an antifogging property on plastic film was investigated. When the content of SF-B solution was more than 90 wt%, their contact angle values were less than 10 ° but pencil hardness were not much improved. However, as the content of UV-A solution was increased, the coated film surface showed the less stickiness and higher pencil hardness. PET film coated with optimized antifogging solution containing 70 wt% of UV-A and 30 wt% of SF-B showed the higher than H grade of pencil hardness. |
