The Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)- Hexafluoropropylene (HFP) /polyolefin separators are prepared by a dip-coating process with various compositions of PVDF and HFP, in which acetone as a solvent is used to dissolve different commercial PVDF-HFP binders and to make their slurries. PVDF-HFP/polyolefin separator is obtained by spreading the slurry on the surface of the polyolefin film. Phase transition occurred in the binder slurry by adding water as a non-solvent, in which process the binder was tightly adhered on to a polyolefin film after drying process. The object of this study we investigated effect of non-solvent on the phase transition of different PVDF-HFP binder solutions using a rotational rheometer. However, Addition of water result in phase transition rapidly. They cannot be measured rotational rheometer. In this study, instead of water, we used methanol as non-solvents. |
