제목 | Tuning of the effect of phosphoric acid on Pt alloy electrocatalysts for ORR |
초록 | Oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is one of the pivotal electrochemical reaction governing the efficiency of fuel cells. Some electrolyte whose bonding energy with catalyst surface is large hinders the ORR activity. In particular, the impediment of the activity caused by phosphoric acid is much severe than that of the other electrolyte including perchloric acid and sulfuric acid. Therefore, the effect of phosphoric acid on the catalyst ought to be revealed for the improved performance of phosphoric acid fuel cell. Herein, the hindrance of phosphoric acid on ORR was tuned by controlling the catalyst surface. Synthesized PtCo catalysts were modified by acid leaching and annealing. The difference in the surface property of catalyst leads to the respective effect of phosphoric acid on the ORR activity. |
