제목 Visible-Light Photoredox-Catalyzed Giese Reaction of α-Silyl Sulfide and Further Oxidation in Flow Process
초록 Sulfur containing compounds such as sulfide, sulfoxide, and sulfone are useful fundamental building block in organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals, materials and polymer chemistry. Recently, we developed visible-light photoredox-catalyzed giese reaction between α-silyl sulfide and electron-deficient alkenes followed by oxidation using oxygen gas to synthesize various sulfoxides and sulfones, respectively, in continuous flow process. Flow system has several advantages for photochemistry and multiphasic reaction, compared to batch system. Photo-flow system enables increased photon concentration with the use of a microreactor due to the larger interfacial area. In addition, for the multiphasic reaction in flow system, the mass transfer has dramatically increased due to less head space between gas and liquid phase. Herein, we report the new and useful method for the synthesis of sulfoxide and sulfone containing various functional groups.
