제목 Enhancement of Neurite Outgrowth and Biomolecule Sensing in PC12 cells using MnO2 decorated PEDOT Nanomaterials
초록 The PEDOT nanomaterials are fabricated by chemical oxidation polymerization in reverse microemulsion and the MnO2 domains on the surface of the PEDOT are formed by redox deposition. The MnO2 decorated PEDOT (PEDOT/MnO2) nanomaterials accelerate neurite outgrowth in proportion to the dose of the nanomaterials, and the MnO2 domains play an essential role in enhancement effects on cell differentiation. In addition, the PEDOT/MnO2 nanomaterials are further applied as a transducer material for label-free real-time monitoring of catecholamine secretion from PC12 cells. The dual-functionalized PEDOT/MnO2 nanomaterials can be used in tissue engineering related to the development and monitoring of mammalian nervous systems.
