Immobilization of protein is one of the important techniques in fabrication of biochip or development of bioassays. Proteins are usually immobilized on solid supports via Schiff base formation with glutaraldehyde, and the immobilized proteins are separated from the reaction media. However, the proteins cannot be easily released from the solid supports in this method. In this regard, we developed a protein immobilization method by utilizing photoreactive molecule. With this method, the immobilized proteins are easily released by UV irradiation. |
