제목 Characterization of carbon membrane rendered from polyimide containing silica-alumina by using sol-gel method.
초록 Introduction of inorganic particles to polymer matrix affects to characteristics of polymer such as mechanical properties, crystallinity and permeability. In particular, inorganic particles in gas separation membrane play role as a permeate pathway or barrier. In this study, we introduced silica and alumina in polyimide film by using sol-gel method. To characterize role of silica and alumina in membrane, various chemical consists were used. After then, polyimide/ silica-alumina film was carbonized at 600 oC to fabricate carbon membrane. Characteristics of carbon membrane were analyzed by FE-SEM, XRD and BET. To confirm gas transport properties, gas permeation experiments were used by using time-lag method. From gas permeation test, gas permeability decreased with increasing silica-alumina content.
