제목 | Synthesis of single dispersing TiO2 nanorod by solvothermal process |
초록 | Nanosized rod-like TiO2 has been found useful in various applications, such as a environmental cleaning and purification, photovoltaics, antifogging, self cleaning surfaces, etc. Various methods, such as sol-gel processing, hydrothermal reactions, sonochemical synthesis have been applied to improve size and shape of TiO2 nanoparticles. However, the concentration of titanium alkoxide was so low that only a small quantity of TiO2 nanocrystals was possible to produce with aggregated TiO2 nanoparticles. Recently, reverse micelle method has been applied to prepare uniform nanoparticles for metal oxides. The size and shape of nanoparticles are controlled by the kind and amount of surfactants (carboxylic acid), which acts as a reaction container and helps to increase the dispersion of nanoparticles. Nanorod like of TiO2 was prepared by the solvothermal process at 300℃ using titanium isopropoxide as the precursor, butyl ether as the solvent and oleic acid as the surfactant. The samples were characterized by XRD, HRTEM and FT-IR spectroscopy. The results show the TiO2 nanorod crystal structure is anatase phase and TiO2 nanorod has a narrow size distribution and uniform dispersion. |
