제목 Pore Filling of Spiro-OMeTAD and Charge Transfer Yield for Efficient Generation of Photocurrent in Solid-State Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
초록 In solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells, poor pore filling of the hole conductor into the mesoporous TiO2 network has been known to be a limiting parameter. To enhance penetration of spiro-OMeTAD, their physical compatibility with sensitizing dye seems to be of importance. Accordingly, we compared series of organic dyes functionalized with different end group for sDSCs. As a result, nanocrystalline TiO2 sensitized with an organic dye having a methoxy end group provided best filling fraction of spiro-OMeTAD. We revealed that the filling fraction of the hole conductor is linearly related with their hole transfer yield from an oxidized dye to a cationic form of the hole conductor.Finally, the filling fraction and the resulting hole transfer yield is related with photocurrent in sDSCs using three organic dyes, which provided linear relationship. The detailed photophysical characterizations of organic dyes as well as sDSCs are also discussed in the presentation.
