Identification of afsS from S. peucetius and examination of its effect in other streptomyces |
| 초록 |
It was reported that AfsS in several streptomyces regulated secondary metabolism. A putative afsS gene from S. peucetius, called afsS-p, was found through genome analysis. afsS-p located immediately downstream of afsR in S. peucetius; furthermore, AfsS had specific repeated sequences, Thr – X2 – Asp – Asn – His – Met – Pro – X2- Pro – Ala, like afsS homoloues of S. coelicolor and S lividans. To exam the effect of afsS-p on antibiotics production, afsS-p was introduced into S. lividans TK24 and S. coelicolor A3(2). Both afsS-p transformants overproduced undecylprodigiosin and actinorhodin. With those results, we were able to identify and characterize afsS-p. |
