Preparation and Characterization of SiO2-Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube/Polyurethane Urea Nanocomposites |

MWNTs (multi-walled carbon nanotubes) with chemically linked nano-sized silica (SiO2) particles were prepared, and which were embedded into PUU (polyurethane-urea) matrix. Morphological and thermo-mechanical properties of SiO2-MWNT/PUU nanocomposite films were investigated by using TEM, XPS, XRD, TGA and UTM analyses. Comparative results with pure PUU, MWNT/PUU, and SiO2-MWNT/PUU nanocomposite films will be discussed. (KOSEF No. R01-2005-000-10367-0) |
