Preparation of Environmentally Friend-Nanocomposites from Multi-functional Triglycerides and Chemically Modified MWNTs |
| 초록 |
Soybean resins are environmentally friendly renewable materials based on triglycerides. To produce multi-functional nanocomposites with active sites, the soybean resins were chemically modified and mixed with MWNTs. Prior to mixing, functional groups such as COOH and OH were added to the surface of MWNTs to improve dispersibility. By using acoustic sonication, the surface-modified MWNTs were mixed with the soybean resin and a radical initiator was used in order to copolymerize them with styrene. The thermo-mechanical properties of soybean resin are considerably improved by an addition of modified MWNTs. |
