제목 Topical Evaluation of Micro-emulsified Erythromycin
초록 Erythromycin (EM) is a hydrophobic drug widely used to treat infections. The aim of this study was to develop micro-emulsion that could be safely used to promote transdermal delivery of EM. The prepared EM emulsion showed solvent content by moisture meter with alcohol-based EM gel, Eryacne. The viscosity measured and stability carried out. In order to evaluate the drug absorption of the hairless mouse skin using Franz cell applied fluorescein emulsion. EM emulsion contained about 30 % lower than Eryacne solvent content. The viscosity decreases than Eryacne. EM emulsion showed good stability after storage at 25 ℃ and 37 ℃ for 1 week, but Eryacne was precipitated at 37 ℃. The EM emulsion is released above 12 % for 1 day. In conclusion, we confirmed that micro-emulsified EM which could result in an improvement of stability of the solubilised hydrophobic EM in aqueous media.
