Vertical Alignment of Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes onto ITO Glass Substrate under Electric Fields |

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have been considered for a number of applications because of their typical electrical and mechanical properties. Particularly, horizontal or vertical alignments of SWCNT have been extensively studied and utilized to fabricate devices such as, transistors, sensors, electrodes, and solar cells. We demonstrate the fabrication of vertically aligned SWCNTs on the ITO glass under alternating-current (AC) and/or direct-current (DC) electric fields. Process variables and the corresponding morphology of the aligned SWCNTs were investigated and the results will be discussed.
